About the Liseberg Group

Liseberg, located in the heart of central Göteborg, Sweden, is Scandinavia’s leading amusement park. The park was inaugurated in conjunction with the Göteborg Jubilee Exhibition in 1923.


The amusement park is run by the municipal company Liseberg AB, parent company of the Liseberg Group, which also comprises Lisebergs Restaurant AB, Lisebergs Gäst AB and Hotell Liseberg Heden.


Liseberg AB runs activities in the Liseberg park area including attractions, games, shopping, park entertainment and theatre performances.
Lisebergs Restaurant AB runs restaurants and cafés in the amusement park.
Lisebergs Gäst AB runs campsite facilities in three different locations in Göteborg.
Hotell Liseberg Heden runs hotel, restaurant and conference activities.

The Liseberg Group’s facilities collectively attracted a total of 3.6 million guests in 2009, and the Group had total sales of SEK 895 million.

 

Liseberg amusement park

The amusement park has 36 rides and attractions, games and wheels of fortune, three music stages, an open air dance floor and numerous restaurants and cafés. The park is also well-known for its beautiful garden areas and abundance of flowers.

Liseberg’s main symbol, the green rabbit (Kaninen), is seen on soft toys, the park’s logotype and in real life in the park.


Liseberg’s summer season runs from the late April to mid-October. The park re-opens for its Christmas season – known as Christmas at Liseberg – from mid November to 23 December.


Liseberg’s main rides are Balder (a wooden roller coaster), FlumeRide (a water attraction), Uppswinget (a giant swing) and Lisebergbanan (a roller coaster). For more information on the attractions, see www.liseberg.se.


The amusement park attracted 2.9 million visitors in 2009, including 552,000 visitors during the Christmas season.
